【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구공업고등학교(교장 강철현)가 화성장병호장학재단(이사장 장원규) 장학금 전달식을 개최했다.
28일 오전 10시 대회의실에서 열린 장학금 전달식에는 장원규 이사장과 허삼원 사무국장, 학교 관계자들이 참석했다.
건설과 3학년 안세환 군을 비롯 총 20명의 학생들에게 총 2천만 원의 장학금이 전달됐다.
화성장병호장학재단은 ㈜화성밸브 고(故) 장병호 명예회장의 뜻을 이어 2016년 설립된 비영리재단으로, 지역 사회 인재 양성을 목표로 다양한 장학사업을 펼쳐왔다. 이번 지원은 특성화고 지역 인재 육성 사업의 하나로 이뤄졌다.
장원규 이사장은 “전통과 역사를 지닌 대구공업고 학생들에게 장학금을 전달하게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “이번 지원이 학업과 미래 준비에 든든한 밑거름이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
장학금을 받은 안세환 학생은 “큰 격려와 응원을 받아 감사하다”며 “앞으로 열심히 공부하고 기술을 갈고닦아 사회에 기여하는 사람이 되겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
강철현 교장은 “귀한 장학금을 기탁해 주신 재단에 깊이 감사드린다”며 “학생들이 학업에 매진해 지역과 국가 발전을 이끄는 인재로 성장하도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.

Daegu Technical High School (Principal Kang Cheol-hyeon) held a scholarship award ceremony for the Hwaseong Jang Byeong-ho Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Jang Won-gyu).

A total of 20 million won in scholarships was awarded to 20 students, including Ahn Se-hwan, a third-year student in the Department of Construction.
The Hwaseong Jang Byeong-ho Scholarship Foundation, a non-profit foundation established in 2016 to carry on the legacy of the late Honorary Chairman Jang Byeong-ho of Hwaseong Valve Co., Ltd., has implemented various scholarship programs with the goal of fostering local talent. This support was part of the specialized high school project to foster local talent.
Chairman Jang Won-gyu stated, "It is meaningful to be able to award scholarships to students at Daegu Technical High School, a place with such a rich history and tradition. I hope this support will serve as a solid foundation for their studies and future preparation."
Ahn Se-hwan, who received the scholarship, said, "I'm grateful for the great encouragement and support. I will continue to study hard, hone my skills, and become a contributing member of society."
Principal Kang Cheol-hyeon expressed his deep gratitude, saying, "I am deeply grateful to the foundation for donating this valuable scholarship. I will do my best to help the students dedicate themselves to their studies and grow into talented individuals who will drive the development of their region and nation."
