1일 시에 따르면 감포읍 대본리에 조성 중인 ‘청년마을 공유주거’는 현재 공정률 90%를 기록했으며, 이달 중 준공과 함께 입주자 모집을 시작할 예정이다.
해당 사업에는 총 20억 원(특별교부세 10억 원, 시비 10억 원)이 투입됐으며, 지상 3층 규모 건물에 전용면적 34㎡의 10호가 공급된다. 대상은 ‘청년마을 지역살이 프로그램’을 체험한 뒤 경주에서 취·창업을 희망하는 만 19~39세 청년이다. 시는 운영 수탁기관으로 ㈜마카모디를 선정했다.
도심 태종로 밀레니엄하우스를 매입·리모델링하는 ‘청년 임대주택’ 사업도 본격화되고 있다. 총사업비 43억 5,000만 원을 들여 지상 4층 건물에 청년형 17호(28.5㎡), 신혼부부형 2호(57㎡) 등 19호를 공급할 계획이며, 현재 공정률은 30% 수준이다. 시는 오는 11월 준공과 동시에 입주자를 모집할 방침이다.
입주 대상자는 저소득 청년과 신혼부부를 우선 고려하고, 취·창업 여부와 거주 기간 등을 종합적으로 반영해 선발할 예정이다.
주낙영 경주시장은 “바다와 도심을 아우르는 이원화된 청년 주거 공급으로 정주 여건을 개선하고 청년 유입과 정착을 동시에 유도하겠다”며 “지역살이와 취·창업을 연계한 선순환 구조를 만들어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
