【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교(총장 최재영) 무인항공드론과 재학생들로 구성된 ‘백호날다’팀이 ‘2025년 부산대총장배 창의비행체 경진대회’에서 의미있는 성과를 거뒀다.
지난달 29~30일 부산대학교 주최로 열린 이번 대회는 참가팀이 직접 제작한 자이로콥터의 자유기동과 안전한 이착륙 임무 수행 능력을 겨루는 방식으로 진행됐다.
전국 120여 개 팀이 참가 신청을 했고, 서류와 기체, 영상 심사를 거쳐 20개 팀이 본선에 진출했다.
영진전문대 무인항공드론과 1·2학년 학생 6명으로 구성된 '백호날다'팀은 전문대학으로는 유일하게 본선 무대에 오르며 장려상을 수상했다.
팀장을 맡은 김민종 학생은 “여름방학 내내 기체 설계와 제작에 매달린 노력이 보상받아 기쁘다”며 지도 교수와 팀원들에게 감사 인사를 전했다.
표창수 학과장은 “첫 대외 경진대회에서 학생들이 보여준 열정이 좋은 결과로 이어졌다”며 “무인항공기 분야에서 최고의 전문대학으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

The "Baekho Nalda" team, comprised of students from the Unmanned Aerial Drone Department at Yeungjin College (President Choi Jae-young), achieved significant results at the "2025 Pusan National University President's Cup Creative Aircraft Competition."
The competition, hosted by Pusan National University on the 29th and 30th of last month, pitted the participating teams' self-built gyrocopters against each other in terms of free maneuverability and safe takeoff and landing capabilities.

The "Baekho Nalda" team, comprised of six first- and second-year students from Yeungjin College's Unmanned Aerial Drone Department, was the only junior college team to advance to the finals and received an Encouragement Award.
Team leader Kim Min-jong expressed his gratitude to his advisor and team members, saying, "We are delighted that our efforts throughout summer vacation in designing and building the aircraft have been rewarded."
Dean Pyo Chang-soo said, “The passion shown by students in our first external competition led to good results,” and added, “We will strive to establish ourselves as the best specialized university in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles.”
