BBS대구불교방송 제13대 사장에 정문 스님 추대

【브레이크뉴스】박영재 기자=불국사 부주지정문스님이 BBS대구불교방송 제 13대 사장에 선출됐다.

대구불교방송은 9월 1일 운영위원회의를 열고 만장일치로 정문스님을 신임 사장으로 의결했다.

정문스님은 본사의 임명 절차를 2년의 공식 임기를 시작한다.

정문스님은 성타 대종사를 은사로 1979년 수계했으며, 조계종 총무원 기획실장과 사회부장, 중앙종회 의장, 학교법인 동국대학교 이사, 조계종 화쟁위원장 등 종단 안팎의 주요 소임을 두루 역임했다.

특히 재단법인 BBS불교방송 제7대 이사장을 맡아 방송포교에 크게 기여했다. 현재는 경주 불국사 부주지와 고양 흥국사 주지를 맡고 있다.

Venerable Jeongmun Elected as the 13th President of BBS Daegu Buddhist Broadcasting

Ven. Jeongmun, Vice-Abbot of Bulguksa Temple, has been elected as the 13th President of BBS Daegu Buddhist Broadcasting.

Daegu Buddhist Broadcasting held a management committee meeting on September 1st and unanimously approved Venerable Jeongmun as the new President.

Ven. Jeongmun will begin his official two-year term through the headquarters' appointment process.

Ven. Jeongmun, ordained in 1979 under the tutelage of Venerable Seongta, has held various key positions both within and outside the Jogye Order, including Director of the Planning Office and the Social Affairs Department of the General Affairs Office of the Jogye Order, Chairman of the Central Assembly, Director of the Dongguk University School Foundation, and Chairman of the Jogye Order's Reconciliation Committee.

He notably served as the 7th Chairman of the Board of Directors of BBS Buddhist Broadcasting, making significant contributions to broadcasting missionary work. He currently serves as Vice-Abbot of Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju and as the Chief Abbot of Heungguksa Temple in Goyang.
