나주시는 오는 9월 5일부터 10월 12일까지 '제1회 나주문학제'를 개최하고, 학술포럼, 특강, 문학상 시상식, 전시 등 다채로운 행사를 통해 나주 문학의 위상과 가치를 널리 알릴 계획이다.
이번 문학제는 나주의 문학적 뿌리와 정신을 조명하는 뜻깊은 자리로 마련됐다. 5일 백호문학관에서 열리는 학술포럼은 '나주문학의 지형과 위상'을 주제로, 나주 설화, 고전시가, 현대문학 등을 심도 있게 다룰 예정이다.
나주시는 이번 포럼을 시작으로 3년간의 체계적인 조사를 통해 나주 문학 발전의 기반을 다질 계획이다.
