인천시에 따르면, ‘천원 문화티켓’은 공연, 스포츠, 관광 등 다양한 문화 콘텐츠를 시민 누구나 천원에 즐길 수 있도록 기획됐다.
특히 유아, 청소년, 북한이탈주민, 지역아동센터 및 양육시설 아동 등 문화 소외계층을 위한 맞춤형 프로그램을 별도로 구성해 문화 향유의 문턱을 대폭 낮췄다.
인천시는 이번 사업을 통해 10월 한 달을 ‘대시민 문화의 달’로 지정하고, 총 5,400여 명에게 ‘천원 문화티켓’ 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.
프로그램은 시립합창단 연주회와 어린이 명작무대, 시민의 날 음악회와 한국무용 등 예술공연과 K리그 축구 경기 관람, 시티투어버스 및 월미바다열차 탑승 등 세 가지 분야로 나뉘어 진행된다.
예술공연 분야는 온라인 예매 방식으로, 1,800여 명의 인천시민을 대상으로 한다.
이 외에도 유아 및 초등학교 저학년 학생 800여 명은 단체 관람 형태로 문화 체험의 기회를 갖게 된다.

또한, 인천시가 2일, 전국 7대 특별·광역시 가운데 유일하게 시립미술관이 없는 인천시에 미술관, 박물관, 예술공원이 어우러진 복합문화공간 ‘인천뮤지엄파크’ 조성사업을 본격 추진하고 있다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 시는 지난 4월 행정안전부 중앙투자심사 2단계 통과 후 일상감사, 계약 심의 등 주요 절차를 거쳐 건설공사 입찰공고를 완료했다.

또한, 인천시가 오는 9월 26일부터 28일까지 3일간 청라호수공원 야외음악당과 청라호수도서관에서 ‘2025 인천 독서대전’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.
