(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 최근 예술회관역복합개발프로젝트(주)와 ‘구월3동 행복마을가꿈사업’과 공공기여 사업인 ‘구월문화어린이공원 지하 주차장 조성’의 연계 추진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면, 구는 현재 노후화된 저층 주거지의 환경을 개선하고 주민 편의시설을 확충하기 위한 ‘구월3동 행복마을 가꿈사업’을 진행 중이다.
총 예산 113억 원(행복마을 가꿈사업비 33억 원, 롯데백화점 개발사업 공공기여금 80억 원)이 투입되는 이 사업은 현재 정비계획수립이 진행 중이며, 2028년까지 단계적으로 추진된다.
이번 협약은 각 사업의 대상지 중첩을 고려해 사업 시행 방식, 사업비 분담 등 세부적인 사항을 협의하고 양측의 협력을 공식화하기 위해 추진됐다.
이에 따라 구와 예술회관역복합개발프로젝트(주)는 ‘구월3동 행복마을가꿈사업’과 ‘구월문화어린이공원 정비사업’을 통합 추진한다.
남동구는 이번 협약이 구월문화어린이공원 정비 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 사전에 조율하고 협업해 사업 속도가 한층 빨라질 것으로 기대하고 있다.
박종효 남동구청장은 “이번 협약은 지역 주민을 위한 더 나은 생활환경 조성과 동시에 공원의 기능적 역할 및 지역사회의 성장 기회를 도모하기 위한 노력의 일환”이라며 “지역 주민을 위한 다양한 공공서비스 개선에 힘쓰겠다”라고 말했다.
