대구광역시 서구 평리1동 도시재생현장지원센터(센터장 여창환)가 동네 수퍼마켓였던 곳에서 지역 주민을 위한 인문학 독서 프로그램 ‘들마을 화목 독서회’를 열고 있다.
오랫동안 비어있던 동네 슈퍼마켓을 주민 생활문화 어울림공간으로 리모델링했다.
이번 독서회는 8월 26일부터 9월 23일까지 매주 화요일과 목요일 저녁 7시부터 9시까지 진행된다. 장소는 리모델링을 통해 새롭게 단장된 성광수퍼(서구 북비산로 60길 11-7).
한때 마을 사랑방 역할을 하던 동네 슈퍼마켓이었으나 오랫동안 비어있는 빈 점포로 남아 있었다. 도시재생사업을 통해 주민들의 생활 쉼터이자 소규모 교육 프로그램 운영이 가능한 마을 거점 공간으로 다시 태어났다.
독서회의 회차별 호스트 구성도 흥미롭다. 생애주기를 책으로 분류할 수 있다면 도입부를 써 내려가는 청년부터 삶의 이야기를 품은 시니어 세대까지. 다양한 연령대의 작가와 시인들이 참여한다.

‘들마을 화목독서회’는 주민들의 정서 함양과 주민 커뮤니티 활성화를 위해 기획되었다, 향후 조성될 도시재생 거점시설 활성화를 위해 시범 운영하는 프로그램이다.
