삼패자화원은 1921년 4월부터 6월 사이 신채호, 이회영, 박용만, 신숙 등 15인의 독립운동가들이 만주 등 해외 독립운동 세력을 통합하는 군사통일기관 설치를 협의하기 위한 회의인 군사통일주비회를 개최한 장소이다.
