【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 ‘2025 IB 학교 라운드테이블’을 개최했다고 4일 밝혔다.
지난 3일 안동 스탠포드호텔에서 학교 경영, 수업, 평가 혁신 방안을 논의하는 자리가 마련됐다.
참석자는 이윤화 교육국장을 비롯해 IB 후보학교 3교(구미원당초, 대구교대안동부설초, 동산여중)와 관심학교 7교(구미봉곡초, 경덕중, 도송중, 청하중, 화랑중, 포항제철고, 풍산고) 등 총 10개교의 관리자와 담당 교원 50여 명이었다.
이번 라운드테이블에서는 ▶학교 운영 철학과 IB 교육 철학 연계 ▶IB 학교 운영 사례 및 적용 전략 공유 ▶학교 간 네트워크 강화 ▶관리자·업무 담당자·교원의 시각을 반영한 현장 중심 지원 방안 구체화 등이 주요 의제로 다뤄졌다.
토론은 초·중·고 관리자팀, 운영팀, 정책 운영팀 등 7개 그룹으로 나뉘어 진행되었으며, 각 그룹은 학교 현장의 여건을 고려한 실행 전략과 지속 가능한 성장 방안에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 이어갔다.
경북교육청은 이번 논의 결과를 바탕으로 ▶교원 역량 강화 연수 확대 ▶학교별 맞춤형 컨설팅 지원 ▶경북형 IB 관심·후보·월드스쿨 성장 로드맵 체계화 등을 추진할 계획이다.
임종식 교육감은 “IB 교육은 탐구, 행동, 성찰을 바탕으로 학생의 성장을 이끄는 배움의 혁신이자 학교 문화 변화의 동력”이라며, “이번 라운드테이블이 경북의 IB 학교들이 함께 배우고 성장하는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) announced on the 4th that it held the "2025 IB School Roundtable."

The roundtable's main topics included: ▶ Linking school management philosophies with the IB educational philosophy; ▶ Sharing IB school management cases and application strategies; ▶ Strengthening inter-school networks; and ▶ Developing field-oriented support measures that reflect the perspectives of administrators, staff, and faculty.
The discussion was divided into seven groups, including the elementary, middle, and high school administration teams, operations teams, and policy operations teams. Each group engaged in in-depth discussions on implementation strategies and sustainable growth plans that took into account the specific circumstances of each school.
Based on the results of this discussion, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to: ▶ expand teacher capacity-building training; ▶ provide customized consulting support for each school; and ▶ systematize the growth roadmap for Gyeongbuk-style IB interest, candidate, and world schools.
Superintendent Lim Jong-sik stated, "IB education is a learning innovation that fosters student growth based on inquiry, action, and reflection, and is a driving force for school culture change. I hope this roundtable will serve as an opportunity for IB schools in Gyeongbuk to learn and grow together."
