【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구가 주민참여예산 우수사업 2건을 선정했다고 4일 밝혔다.
지난 3일 열린 2026년 대구시 주민참여예산사업 총회에서 ‘칠곡지하보도 경관 개선’과 ‘구암동 물총놀이 축제 개최’가 우수사업으로 최종 선정됐다.
주민참여예산 우수사업은 시민 온라인 투표로 뽑는다. 2024~2025년에 완료된 주민 제안 사업 가운데 시정참여형, 구군참여형, 읍면동참여형 3개 분야에서 시민 만족도가 높은 사업 총 6건이 최종 선정됐다.
북구의 ‘칠곡지하보도 경관 개선’은 구군참여형 우수사업, ‘구암동 물총놀이 축제’는 읍면동참여형 우수사업으로 각각 가장 높은 득표율을 기록하며 이름을 올렸다.
칠곡지하보도 경관 개선 사업은 어둡고 인적이 드물어 우범지대로 여겨지던 지하보도를 정비하고, 디자인 시설물과 경관조명을 설치해 쾌적하고 안전한 보행 환경을 마련했다.
구암동 물총놀이 축제는 무더위에 지친 주민들에게 여름철 즐길 거리를 제공하고, 다양한 체험 프로그램으로 높은 호응을 얻었다. 주민들의 관심 속에 지난 7월 26일 제2회 축제가 열리기도 했다.
배광식 북구청장은 “주민들의 적극적인 참여와 관심 덕분에 북구 사업이 2건이나 우수사업으로 선정됐다”며 “앞으로도 주민 의견을 구정에 충실히 반영해 체감할 수 있는 성과를 만들겠다”고 말했다.

The Chilgok Underpass Landscape Improvement Project renovated the dark, deserted underground passage, once considered a crime-ridden area. Designed facilities and landscape lighting were installed to create a pleasant and safe pedestrian environment.
The Guam-dong Water Gun Festival provided residents struggling with the heat with a summer pastime and garnered a positive response with its diverse experience programs. The second festival was held on July 26th, fueled by strong interest from residents.
Buk-gu Mayor Bae Gwang-sik stated, "Thanks to the active participation and interest of residents, two Buk-gu projects were selected as excellent projects. We will continue to faithfully reflect residents' feedback in our district administration to achieve tangible results."
