[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시 사회복지협의회(회장·김기호)는 3일 경상국립대학교 국제처 언어교육실 오디토리엄에서 ‘제26회 사회복지의 날 기념식 및 협의회 20년 이야기’를 개최했다.
이날 행사는 사회복지 종사자와 주요 내빈 등 400여 명이 참석한 가운데, 지역 사회복지의 성과를 되돌아보고 향후 발전 방향을 함께 모색하는 자리로 마련됐다.
1부 기념식은 ‘진주시사회복지협의회 20년 걸어온 길’ 영상 상영을 시작으로, 사회복지 유공자 표창, 김기호 회장의 기념사와 내빈 축사 순으로 진행됐다.
2부 행사에서는 포용과 회복, 모두의 삶이 피어나는 순간을 주제로 세 명의 패널이 참여해 지역 복지의 과제와 협력 방안에 대해 다양한 의견을 나눴다.
이날 유공자 표창은 총 5개 부문에서 진행되었으며, 진주시 사회복지대상에는 진주시장애인체육회 허한영 상임부회장이 수상의 영예를 안았다.
진주시장 표창은 진주시티숲돌봄센터 유정화 외 10명, 진주시의회의장 표창은 공덕의집 노인요양원 허숙자 외 4명, 국회의원 표창은 진주노인통합지원센터 양준민 외 7명이 수상했다.
진주시사회복지협의회장상에는 진주푸드마켓·뱅크 박민아 외 13명이 선정돼 지역 복지 발전에 기여한 공로를 인정받았다.
김기호 회장은 “협의회는 지난 20년간 지역사회의 복지 향상을 위해 노력해왔으며, 앞으로도 민간 복지 전달체계의 중추적 역할을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
이어 그는“뜻깊은 자리에 함께해주신 모든 분들께 감사드리며, 수상자 여러분께 진심으로 축하의 인사를 전한다”고 덧붙였다.
