경주시는 3일 부시장실에서 ‘APEC 서비스 향상 TF’ 제3차 회의를 열고 숙소, 음식, 교통, 환경 등 분야별 추진 상황을 점검했다. 회의에는 관광컨벤션과, 식품위생산업과 등 14개 부서장이 참석해 개선 과제를 집중 논의했다.
주요 개선 방안으로는 ▲숙소 시설 환경 개선 실태조사 및 관리·점검 강화 ▲숙소 인근 음식점 영업시간 연장 및 할랄·비건 식당 정보 안내 ▲셔틀·시내버스 야간 운행 등 교통대책 점검 ▲추석을 앞둔 물가 안정 캠페인 강화 ▲노후 간판 정비, 불법 적치물 철거 등 도시 환경정비 등이 있다.
송호준 경주 부시장은 “APEC 정상회의 손님맞이 준비는 경주의 품격과 역량을 보여주는 중요한 계기”라며, “참가단이 직접 체감하는 부분에서 불편이 없도록 철저히 준비해 달라”고 당부했다.
경주시는 앞으로도 정기적인 TF 회의와 현장 점검을 통해 문제점을 신속히 해결하고, 부서 간 긴밀한 협력으로 서비스 품질 향상에 최선을 다할 계획이다.
