이재명 대통령이 9일 "극히 일부 사례라 믿지만 최근 노동조합원 자녀에게 우선채용권을 부여하려 한 걸 두고 논란이 됐다는 보도를 봤는데 불공정 대명사로 이래서 안 되겠다"고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 용산 대통령실에서 열린 제41회 국무회의 모두 발언에서 이같이 말한 후 "힘있다 해서 현직 노조원 자녀를 특채하는 규정을 만든다면 다른 사람들이 억울한 일을 당하지 않겠느냐"며 "경제 전체 파이를 키우려면 공정 경쟁이 전제돼야 한다"고 했다.
이어 "이 공정한 경쟁은 기업뿐 아닌 노동 분야에서도 마찬가지"라며 "특히 취업 시장은 어느 분야보다도 투명 경쟁이 필수"라고 했다.
또 "기업·노조, 노조·기업은 양측 모두 국민 경제 중요 축"이라며 "임금 체불·소홀한 안전 관리 등이 없어야 하는 것처럼 이런 사회 갈등을 유발하는 노동자 측 과도한 주장도 자제돼야 하고, 상호 존중을 바탕으로 책임 있는 행동을 취해줄 걸 다시 요청드린다"고 했다.
더불어 최근 불법 입국 및 체류 자격 위반 등에 따른 미국내 한국 기업 근로자들 체포 사태 관련해선 "국민 안전 최종 책임자인 대통령으로서 큰 책임감을 느낀다"며 "갑작스런 일에 많이 놀라셨을 텐데 깊은 위로 말씀을 드린다"고 했다.
