【브레이크뉴스 의성】이성현 기자=의성군(군수 김주수)은 조선 숙종 시기 울릉도와 독도를 지켜낸 지역 출신 실존 인물 ‘장한상’을 소재로 한 뮤지컬 '독도장군 장한상'을 오는 11일부터 14일까지 오후 7시 30분, 남대천 구봉공원 특설무대에서 공연한다고 9일 밝혔다.

‘장한상’은 17세기 말 일본의 도발로 울릉도와 독도 영유권 분쟁이 발생했을 당시 수토사로 임명되어 울릉도와 독도 해역에서 조업하던 왜인들을 몰아내며 영토 수호에 앞장선 인물로 기록돼 있다.
이번 뮤지컬은 남대천의 아름다운 자연경관을 배경으로 첨단 멀티미디어 기술과 3D 비디오 프로젝션, 특수효과를 접목한 융합형 콘텐츠로 선보인다. 배우들의 열연과 함께 화려한 볼거리와 감동을 제공할 예정이다.
주인공 장한상 역은 국내 대극장 뮤지컬에서 주연으로 활동하며 최근 TV 드라마까지 활동 영역을 넓히고 있는 김준현이 맡았고, 안용복 역은 TV 드라마에서 얼굴을 알린 배우 조유신이, 숙종 역은 국내 대표 뮤지컬 작품에서 가창력을 인정받은 박형규가 맡는다. 이외에도 심정완, 김형균, 김륜호 등 뮤지컬배우와 전문 무용수가 함께 무대를 꾸민다.
또한 의성합창단, 전진태권도, 셋하나풍물단, 계명태권스쿨, 의성진난타, 의성합기도와 아역배우 등 지역의 다양한 세대와 공연예술단체 100여 명이 함께 참여해 관객들에게 다채로운 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다.
연출을 맡은 (사)극단 맥 이정남 대표는 “이번 무대는 우리의 역사와 정신을 되새기는 장으로, 뮤지컬 ‘박서생’에 이어 두 번째 기획·제작 작품인 만큼 한층 더 짜임새 있는 스토리와 배우들의 연기, 노래가 첨단 영상기술과 어우러져 완성도 높은 공연을 선보일 것”이라고 말했다.

Uiseong County to Perform "Dokdo General Jang Han-sang" Musical on Jang Han-sang on September 11th

The musical, set against the backdrop of the beautiful natural scenery of Namdaecheon, combines cutting-edge multimedia technology, 3D video projection, and special effects to create a fusion of content. The actors' passionate performances are expected to deliver a captivating and moving experience.
The main character, Jang Han-sang, is played by Kim Jun-hyun, who has starred in major Korean musicals and recently expanded his career to include TV dramas. Ahn Yong-bok will be played by Jo Yoo-shin, an actor known for his TV dramas. King Sukjong will be played by Park Hyung-gyu, whose singing prowess has been recognized in major Korean musicals. Furthermore, musical actors Shim Jeong-wan, Kim Hyung-gyun, and Kim Ryun-ho will perform alongside professional dancers.
More than 100 local performing arts groups and artists representing diverse generations, including the Uiseong Choir, Jeonjin Taekwondo, Sethana Pungmuldan, Keimyung Taekwondo School, Uiseong Jinnanta, Uiseong Hapkido, and child actors, will participate, providing a diverse and enjoyable experience for the audience.
Lee Jeong-nam, director of the Mac Theater Company, which directed the production, said, "This performance is a chance to reflect on our history and spirit. As our second planned and produced musical following 'Park Seo-saeng,' we will present a highly polished performance with a cohesive story, performances, and songs, all combined with cutting-edge video technology."
