회장 선거는 지난 8월 21일에 진행됐으며, 응급구조사 제도 도입 30주년을 맞아 새로운 리더십 출범이라는 점에서 의미가 크다.
현진숙 교수는 선린대학교 응급구조과 학과장과 기획처장을 역임하며 응급구조 교육 혁신과 현장 중심 학습 강화를 이끌어왔다. 이번 선거에서 현 교수는 ''응급구조 교육과 직역이 중대한 전환점에 서 있다''고 강조하며 다음과 같은 3대 핵심 공약을 내세웠다.

향후 2년간의 임기 동안 ▲응급구조사의 법적 권리 강화와 직역 보호 ▲지정대학 제도 안착 및 교육 질 향상 ▲군·공공의료·산업체 등 새로운 진로 개척을 위한 정책 활동을 협회·학회와 연계해 적극 추진할 계획이다.

Professor Hyun Jin-sook of the Department of Emergency Medical Services at Sunlin University (President Kwak Jin-hwan) was elected as the 16th President of the National Council of Faculty Members of the Department of Emergency Medical Services (hereafter, the Council).
The election, held on August 21st, is significant as it marks the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) system and marks the inauguration of a new leadership position.
Professor Hyun Jin-sook served as the Dean of the Department of Emergency Medical Services and Director of Planning at Sunlin University, where she spearheaded innovations in emergency medical services education and strengthened field-centered learning. In her election campaign, Professor Hyun emphasized that "emergency medical services education and the profession are at a critical turning point," and presented the following three key pledges:

During his two-year term, he plans to actively pursue policy initiatives in collaboration with the association and academic societies to: ▲Strengthen the legal rights of paramedics and protect their field; ▲Establish the designated university system and improve educational quality; and ▲Open up new career paths in the military, public health, and industrial sectors.
