【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교 공예디자인학과를 졸업하고 현재 같은 학과에서 강사로 활동 중인 정혁진 작가가 '2025 청주공예비엔날레 보자기x젓가락 연결 짓기 공모전'에서 대상 수상의 영예를 안았다. 청주공예비엔날레조직위원회는 정혁진 작가의 작품 '널을 딛고, 솟다'를 대상작으로 선정했다고 지난 11일 밝혔다.
이번 공모전은 '전통을 담고, 문화를 짚고, 세상을 열자'를 주제로 보자기, 젓가락, 그리고 두 소재의 융합 분야 등 세 부문에서 작품을 모집했다. '널을 딛고, 솟다'는 한국의 전통 놀이인 '널뛰기'에서 영감을 받아 제작된 작품으로, 젓가락 위에 전통 복식을 입은 두 여인의 모습을 정교하게 표현했다. 특히 널뛰기의 역동성과 균형미를 뛰어난 조형미로 구현해 심사위원들의 높은 평가를 받았다.
전국 21개 지역에서 총 102팀이 참가해 201점의 작품을 출품한 이번 공모전에서는 대상 1점, 금상 2점, 은상 3점, 동상 5점 등 총 11점의 작품이 수상작으로 선정되었다. 정혁진 작가는 대상 상금 600만 원을 받게 된다.
수상작들은 오는 11월 2일까지 60일간 열리는 '2025 청주공예비엔날레' 기간 동안 문화제조창 본관 중앙 서가에서 전시될 예정이다. 올해 비엔날레는 '세상 짓기(ReCrafting Tomorrow)'라는 주제로 다양한 전시와 프로그램이 진행된다.
