(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 15일 Google for Education과 ‘읽걷쓰 AI교육’활성화를 위한 업무협력식을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, Google for Education은 전 세계 교육기관과 협력하며 학생, 교사들이 미래 사회에 필요한 학습 역량을 기를 수 있도록 지원하는 구글의 교육 전문 조직이다.
이번 협력은 인천시교육청의 ‘읽걷쓰 교육’ 철학을 기반으로, 인공지능 시대에 필요한 학생 역량을 기르고 교원의 전문성을 강화하기 위해 추진됐다.
양 기관은 구글 교육 서비스와 도구를 활용한 AI 교육 활성화, 교원 연수 및 학생 교육 프로그램 운영, 인천 ‘읽걷쓰 교육’과 구글 글로벌 경험을 접목한 미래 교육 방향 모색 등에 협력한다.
도성훈 교육감은 “인천교육의 변화와 도전이 구글의 글로벌 경험과 연계될 수 있다는 점에서 뜻깊다”며 “인천 학생들이 인공지능(AI) 기반 미래사회를 주도할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
인천시교육청은 앞으로도 ‘읽걷쓰’ 교육을 토대로 인공지능 교육 비전을 정립하고, 학생 30만 명이 AI시대를 선도하는 융합인재로 성장할 수 있도록 단계적 실행 방안을 마련할 계획이다.
