이재명 대통령이 16일 "세종 집무실·세종 의사당 건립을 차질없이 추진해 나갈 것"이라고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오전 정부세종청사에서 열린 제42회 국무회의 모두 발언에서 "행정수도 세종 완성은 균형발전 주춧돌을 놓는 일"이라며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "대한민국 현재 최대 과제는 지속성장하는 것이며 지속성장의 가장 큰 토대는 균형발전"이라며 "5극 3특 전략 추진에 더욱 속도를 내야 될 것 같다"고 했다.
또 "오늘은 기업들에 특별한 요청을 드릴까 한다"며 "한 아이를 키우기 위해선 온 마을이 나서야 한다고 한다"고 했다.
이어 "청년 고용 문제를 해결하기 위해선 정부뿐 아닌 기업 노력도 필요하다"며 "정부는 기업 활동을 원활히 할 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있다"고 했다.
더불어 "팀코리아 정신으로 통상 파고를 정부와 힘 합쳐 극복하고 있는 기업들이 청년 고용난이란 또 하나의 고비를 넘는 데도 정부와 함께 힘을 합쳐 주길 부탁드린다"고 했다.
이 대통령은 "청년 신규 일자리 창출도 꼭 필요한 일"이라며 "청년·기업·국가도 모두가 윈윈하는 경제성장 새 물꼬를 트자"고 했다.
이어 "8월 고용 동향에 따르면 전체 고용률은 역대 최고치를 기록하고 있는데 청년층 취업자는 16개월째 감소세를 나타내고 있다"며 "하반기 청년고용 시장 전망 또한 현재로선 결코 밝지 않다"고 했다.
