연준은 연방공개시장위원회(FOMC) 정례회의 뒤 기준금리를 종전 4.25~4.50%에서 4.00∼4.25%로 인하하기로 결정했다고 발표했다.
지난 해 12월 0.25%p 인하한 뒤 9개월 만이자, 트럼프 2기 행정부 출범 후 첫 인하다.
이에 따라 한국(2.50%)과의 금리 차이는 상단 기준 1.75%p로 좁혀졌다.
