구미시는 10월 1일부터 2일까지 서울광장에서 '2025 구미 로컬푸드 페스타'를 개최한다고 18일 밝혔다. 이번 행사에는 구미 지역 농가와 기업이 직접 생산한 다양한 먹거리가 한자리에 모인다.
올해 페스타는 지난해 1일 행사에서 이틀로 확대되고, 부스 수 역시 26개에서 45개로 늘어나 풍성한 먹거리를 만날 수 있다. 구미한우, 구미쌀, 구미밀가리, 멜론, 포도, 고구마, 버섯 등 제철 농산물과 해외에서 호평받은 냉동김밥, 떡볶이, 멜론떡, 마카롱, 우리밀빵 등 가공식품이 현장에서 판매된다. 특히 대표 간편식 떡볶이는 최대 43%, 구미한우는 33%까지 할인해 관람객들의 큰 호응이 기대된다.
현장에는 구미한우존, 농축산물 판매관, G푸드(Gumi Food) 부스가 마련돼 신선 농축산물과 가공식품을 한눈에 볼 수 있다. 또한 구미시 홍보관에서는 구미 역사와 문화, 관광 정보, 2025 구미라면축제 전시관을 운영하고, 멜론을 활용한 칵테일쇼 등 다채로운 무대 프로그램도 선보인다.
구미시는 이번 페스타를 통해 “Made in Gumi, 맛있는 구미 로컬푸드”라는 메시지를 수도권 시민에게 전달하고, 미식 도시로서의 구미 이미지를 알리는 한편 출향인들에게는 고향의 정을 전할 계획이다. 특히 추석 시즌에 맞춘 구미한우, 신선 농산물, 가공식품 등은 선물용으로도 적합해 소비자 만족도를 높일 것으로 기대된다.
김장호 구미시장은 “서울 한복판에서 구미의 진짜 맛을 느낄 수 있는 특별한 시간이 될 것”이라며, “이번 페스타가 구미 로컬푸드의 우수성을 알리고, 지역 농가의 소득 증대와 지역경제 활성화로 이어지길 바란다”고 말했다.
