【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 ‘제60회 전국기능경기대회’에서 8년 연속 학생부 우승에 도전한다고 19일 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 20일부터 26일까지 광주광역시 6개 경기장에서 열리며, 전국 1,725명의 선수가 50개 직종에 참가해 기량을 겨룬다. 경북은 학생 121명이 38개 직종에 출전한다.
경기는 20일 사전 준비를 시작으로, 22일 김대중컨벤션센터에서 열리는 공식 개회식과 함께 본격 진행된다.
개회식에는 임종식 경북교육감을 비롯해 김영훈 고용노동부 장관, 강기정 광주광역시장 등이 참석한다.
경북은 2018년 첫 종합우승을 차지한 이후 학생부에서 7년 연속 우승을 이어왔으며, 2020년부터는 종합 우승도 5년 연속 기록 중이다.
올해 선수단은 학생부 금메달 8개 이상을 목표로 세우고, 전국 최초 6년 연속 종합 우승과 8년 연속 학생부 우승에 도전한다.
임종식 교육감은 “경북 직업계고 학생들의 숙련 기술은 이미 전국적으로 인정받고 있다”며 “이번 대회에서도 최고의 성과를 내길 기대한다”고 말했다.
