이번에 선발된 장학생들은 대학 재학 기간 동안 학기당 250만 원의 생활장학금을 지원받는다.
‘포스코비전장학 프로그램’은 지역과 국가의 미래를 이끌 우수 대학생을 발굴·지원하기 위해 2006년 처음 시작됐다. 지난 20년 동안 총 676명의 학생에게 78억 원의 장학금이 전달됐다. 특히 올해는 과학 분야 우수 인재 선발 비중을 확대하고, 다문화가정 출신 학생들도 장학생 명단에 포함됐다.
장학생들에게는 장학금 외에도 해외 봉사활동, 진로 멘토링, 지역 및 소규모 네트워킹 프로그램 등 다양한 기회가 제공돼 진로 탐색과 인적 네트워크 확장을 돕는다.
증서 수여식에 참석한 카이스트 최은석 학생은 “과학 분야에서 세계적인 연구자가 되어 받은 지원에 보답하고, 지역과 국가에 기여하는 삶을 살고 싶다”고 포부를 밝혔다.
포스코청암재단은 앞으로도 지역사회와 동반 성장하며, 장학생들이 미래 인재로서 꿈과 비전을 펼칠 수 있도록 맞춤형 장학사업을 확대해 나갈 계획이다.

The selected students will receive a living allowance of KRW 2.5 million per semester throughout their studies.
The POSCO Vision Scholarship Program was launched in 2006 to identify and support outstanding college students who will lead the future of the region and the nation. Over the past 20 years, a total of KRW 7.8 billion in scholarships has been awarded to 676 students. This year, the program has expanded its focus on science and includes students from multicultural families.
Beyond the scholarships, scholarship recipients are provided with various opportunities, including overseas volunteer work, career mentoring, and local and small-scale networking programs, helping them explore career paths and expand their personal networks.
KAIST student Choi Eun-seok, who attended the certificate award ceremony, expressed his aspirations, saying, "I want to become a world-class researcher in the field of science, repay the support I have received, and live a life that contributes to my community and country."
The POSCO TJ Park Foundation plans to continue growing together with the local community and expand its customized scholarship programs to help scholarship recipients realize their dreams and visions as future leaders.
