당진시, ‘2025년 주민발의 시책제안회’ 개최

충남 당진시가 주민이 직접 정책을 발굴하고 제안하는 ‘2025년 주민발의 시책제안회’를 열며 참여민주주의 실현에 한 걸음 더 나아갔다.

19일 열린 이번 제안회에는 오성환 시장을 비롯해 시 관계 부서장, 읍면동 주민자치회장 등 50여 명이 참석했다. 행사는 주민총회 결과 보고, 주민발의 시책 발표, 질의응답 및 토론 순으로 진행되며, 주민이 마을에서 논의한 다양한 의제가 직접 시정에 연결되는 과정을 공유하는 자리로 마련됐다.

올해 주민총회에서는 특화사업, 주민참여예산, 마을 복지사업 등 총 84건의 안건이 채택됐고, 그 중 24건이 시책 제안 안건으로 상정돼 이번 회의에서 발표됐다. 제안된 사업은 문화, 복지, 교통 등 생활밀착형 분야를 두루 포함하고 있다.

당진시는 이날 제안된 사업들을 담당 부서 검토를 거쳐 2026년 본예산에 반영 여부를 결정할 예정이다. 장기 검토가 필요한 안건은 주민들과 지속적으로 실행 방안을 논의해 단계적으로 추진한다는 방침이다.

당진시 관계자는 “이번 제안회는 주민 의견이 행정으로 연결되는 중요한 통로로, 정책과 삶의 간극을 줄이는 의미 있는 과정”이라며 “앞으로도 주민이 주도하는 자치문화가 정착할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Dangjin City, South Chungcheong Province, took a step forward in realizing participatory democracy by hosting the '2025 Resident-Initiated Policy Proposal Meeting,' where residents directly develop and propose policies.

The meeting, held on the 19th, was attended by approximately 50 people, including Mayor Oh Seong-hwan, city department heads, and town/village community leaders. The event consisted of a report on the results of the residents' general meeting, presentations of resident-initiated policies, a Q&A session, and discussions.
