김해시청 대회의실에서는 22일 특별한 강의가 열렸다. 홍태용 시장이 직접 연단에 올라 220여 명의 간부 공무원 및 출자·출연기관 임원들을 대상으로 '글로컬시티 김해를 위한 도시대전환'을 주제로 강연했다.

이번 특강은 민선 8기 김해시가 추진해온 '지속성장을 위한 도시대전환'의 비전과 주요 정책을 내부 구성원들과 공유하고, 이를 통해 시민들이 체감하는 변화를 만들어내기 위해 마련됐다.

홍 시장은 변화를 이끌어갈 내부 역량의 중요성을 역설했다. 도시개발을 넘어, 지역의 특색을 살리면서도 세계적인 경쟁력을 갖춘 도시로 나아가겠다는 의지를 보여준 것이다.

홍태용 시장은 “우리 김해는 또 한 번의 도약을 위한 중차대한 기로에 서 있어 밝은 미래를 열어가기 위한 내부적 역량이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “우리 구성원들이 그 중요한 역할을 잘 해 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
