(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=오는 10월 31일까지 열리는 '2025 전남국제수묵비엔날레'에서 전시 중인 공재 윤두서의 '세마도(洗馬圖)' 진본이 오는 10월 12일까지만 공개된다.
1704년에 비단에 수묵으로 그린 '세마도'는 말이 물가에서 몸을 씻는 모습을 담은 작품이다. 족자 형태로 제작된 이 작품은 가로 75.5cm, 세로 46cm 크기이며, 간결하면서도 힘찬 붓 터치가 특징이다.
특히 말의 근육과 털을 정교하게 표현하고, 여백과 먹의 농담을 효과적으로 대비시켜 긴장감과 생동감을 동시에 느낄 수 있다. '세마도'는 당시 실학적 사실주의 화풍의 정수를 보여주는 작품으로, 조선 후기 수묵화의 세밀하고 자연주의적인 경향을 잘 보여준다는 평가를 받고 있다.
당초 10월 31일까지 전시될 예정이었던 '세마도'는 작품의 훼손을 막고 안전한 전시 환경을 유지하고자 해남 윤씨 종가 측의 결정에 따라 공개 일정이 앞당겨졌다.
