이에 대해 시 관계자는 “검침원이 주민이 거주하지 않는 것으로 착각해 검침을 누락했다”며 “분할 납부를 안내했으나 이행되지 않아 단수 통지를 한 것”이라고 해명했다. 이어 “검침 실수는 인정 한다며 주민 피해를 최소화하겠다”고 밝혔다.
