충남 당진시가 서해안 해양관광 거점 구축을 위한 초대형 개발 사업에 본격 착수했다. 당진시는 1조 6천억 원대 민간투자를 기반으로 도비도와 난지도를 잇는 해양관광복합단지 조성 프로젝트 ‘블루힐베이(BlueHeal-Bay)’를 추진한다.
오성환 당진시장은 25일 시청 해나루홀에서 기자회견을 열고 “도비도-난지도 해양관광복합단지 조성을 위한 민관 협력이 본궤도에 올라섰다”고 밝혔다. 전날 충남도청에서 충청남도·한국농어촌공사·㈜도비도특구개발·대일레저개발㈜ 등과 공식 협약을 체결한 데 따른 후속 설명이다.
총 176만 평 규모 부지에 들어설 이번 사업에는 ㈜도비도특구개발(더지오, 한국토지신탁, 동부건설 등 컨소시엄 참여)과 대일레저개발㈜이 민간사업자로 참여한다. 2025년 착공을 목표로 2031년까지 7년간 추진되며, 완공 시 연간 270만 명 이상의 관광객 유치와 1400여 개 일자리 창출, 6조 원 이상 경제적 효과가 기대된다.
