【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 특수교육 학생들이 전국 대회에서 눈부신 성과를 거뒀다. 정보화 역량과 e스포츠 실력을 겨루는 큰 무대에서 최다 수상이라는 쾌거를 이뤘다.
대구시교육청은 지난 9일부터 10일까지 홍천 소노캄 비발디파크에서 열린 '2025 전국장애학생 e페스티벌 대회'에서 출전 시·도 중 가장 많은 학생이 최우수상을 받았다고 26일 발표했다.
이 대회는 국립특수교육원과 한국콘텐츠진흥원, 넷마블문화재단이 함께 주최하는 행사로 2003년부터 이어져 왔다. 특수교육 대상 학생들의 정보화 능력을 기르고 건전한 여가생활을 돕기 위해 마련됐다.
대구에서는 지역 예선을 뚫고 올라온 33명이 출전해 총 18명이 수상했다. 최우수 6명, 우수 3명, 장려 9명이라는 화려한 성적표다.
정보경진대회에서는 4명이 전국 1위 자리를 차지했다. 스마트검색 부문 강동중학교 이정진 학생, 엑셀 부문 대구광명학교 조현욱 학생, 파워포인트 부문 대구보건학교 강민구 학생, 동영상제작 부문 대구이룸고 최유정 학생이 모두 교육부장관상인 최우수상을 받았다.
e스포츠 대회에서도 실력을 보였다. 대구영화학교 서재원 학생은 하스스톤 종목에서 문화체육관광부장관상을, 대구이룸고 이혜민 학생은 폴가이즈 종목에서 한국콘텐츠진흥원장상을 받았다. 이밖에도 오델로, 닌텐도스위치배구, 마구마구리마스터, 클래시로얄 등 다양한 종목에서 4명이 더 상을 받았다.
스마트검색 1위를 차지한 이정진 학생은 "이번 우승을 계기로 컴퓨터를 잘하는 미래형 인재가 되고 싶다"며 "늘 격려해주시는 부모님과 재미있게 가르쳐주시는 선생님께 고맙다"고 소감을 전했다.
강은희 교육감은 "열심히 노력해서 빛나는 성과를 거둔 학생들과 지도교사에게 감사하다"며 "학생들이 대회를 통해 배움의 즐거움을 느끼고 좋은 경쟁과 협력 속에서 더욱 자라나길 바란다"고 말했다.

They also demonstrated their prowess in eSports competitions. Seo Jae-won from Daegu Film School received the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award for Hearthstone, and Lee Hye-min from Daegu Irum High School received the Korea Creative Content Agency Award for Fall Guys. Four more students also won awards in various categories, including Othello, Nintendo Switch Volleyball, Magu Maguri Master, and Clash Royale.
Lee Jeong-jin, who won first place in Smart Search, said, "This victory inspires me to become a future leader in computer skills. I'm grateful to my parents for their constant encouragement and my teachers for making teaching fun."
Superintendent Kang Eun-hee said, "I would like to thank the students and their teachers who worked hard and achieved outstanding results. I hope that the students will experience the joy of learning through this competition and grow further through positive competition and cooperation."
