대구시교육청은 지난 29일 오후 3시 서문시장에서 '추석맞이 전통시장 장보기 행사'를 가졌다고 밝혔다.
강은희 교육감을 비롯해 교육지원청 교육장, 직속기관장, 교육청 직원 등이 함께 시장 곳곳을 돌며 추석 제수용품과 식재료, 생필품 등을 샀다. 대형 마트와 인터넷 쇼핑이 늘면서 발길이 뜸해진 전통시장에 활기를 불어넣기 위한 움직임이다.
대구시교육청의 장보기 행사는 어려움을 겪고 있는 시장 상인들에게 도움이 되고자 매년 명절마다 이어지고 있다. 일회성 행사가 아닌 꾸준한 관심과 실천이 담긴 활동이다.
