브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 인천국제공항공사는 이번 추석연휴 기간 일평균 22만3000명의 여객이 인천공항을 이용할 것으로 전망되는 가운데, 해당기간 특별교통대책을 시행해 공항 혼잡완화 및 여객편의 제고에 만전을 기할 계획이라고 30일 밝혔다.
연휴 기간 자회사 노동조합의 파업예고와 관련해서는 총력대응체계를 구축해 여객불편을 최소화하고 항공기 운항 등 정상적인 공항운영에 차질이 없도록 대비할 계획이다.
올해 추석연휴(10월 2~12일, 11일간) 여객 예측치는 총 여객 기준 245만3000명, 일평균 기준 22만3000명이다. 기존 성수기 최다실적인 올해 하계 성수기(일평균 21만8000명) 대비 2.3% 증가해 역대 성수기 중 최다실적을 기록할 것으로 전망된다.
이는 지난해 추석연휴 실적(일평균 20만명) 대비 11.5% 증가한 수치다.
공사 공항산업기술연구원에 따르면 이번 연휴 기간 중 가장 여객이 많은 날은 10월 3일로, 23만9000명이 이용해 인천공항의 역대 최다 여객실적을 경신할 것으로 예측된다.
출발여객이 가장 많은 날 역시 10월 3일(12만9000명), 도착여객이 가장 많은 날은 10월 12일(12만4000명)로 전망된다.
인천국제공항공사는 해당 기간을 특별교통대책기간으로 지정하고 공항혼잡 등 여객불편이 없도록 관계기관 합동 특별대책을 시행할 계획이다.

또한, 교통수요 증가에 대비해 주차장 운영방식 전환을 통한 총 1300면의 신규 주차공간 확보, 심야 노선버스 운영확대 등의 교통대책을 실시한다.
스마트 서비스 이용확대를 위해 스마트패스(안면인식 출국 서비스) 전용 출국장을 기존 3개소에서 5개소로 2개소 추가 운영하고, 공항 출발 전 출국장별 소요시간을 확인할 수 있도록 주요 포털 사이트에서 ‘출국장별 예상소요시간 안내 서비스’를 제공할 예정이다.
