서구에 따르면, 지난 29일부터 내달 2일까지 추석명절을 대비하여 ‘솔선수범, 내 집 앞, 내 점포 앞부터 치우기’ 분위기를 조성하고, 매년 추석 연휴 때마다 각종 생활쓰레기로 인해 반복되는 환경오염 및 위생문제 등에 효율적으로 대응하기 위해 사전 홍보, 음식물쓰레기 감량화 유도 및 적정 처리 안내, 쓰레기 무단투기 및 불법소각 계도 및 홍보 등 단계별 대책을 추진하고 있다.
특히, 연휴 기간 기동반과 상황반을 운영하여 쓰레기 관련 민원을 신속히 대응할 계획이다.
