충남 서산시가 지난 8월 전국 두 번째 산업위기 선제대응지역으로 지정된 이후, 지역 석유화학 기업과 소상공인을 대상으로 한 지원책을 본격 가동한다.
박경환 서산시 경제산업국장은 30일 기자회견에서 “기업과 소상공인의 경영 안정과 성장 지원을 위해 다양한 금융 및 투자 분야 대책을 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.
주요 지원책은 중소·중견기업 대상 최대 5억 원 이차보전(3% 금리) ,신용보증기금 특례보증(기업당 최대 3억 원, 보증 90%) ,지방투자촉진보조금 확대(입지보조금 30%→50%, 설비보조금 10%→25%) ,긴급경영안정자금(최대 10억 원, 금리 3.71%) ,소상공인 일시적 경영애로자금(최대 7천만 원, 2.68%) 등이다.
또한 국비 12억 5천만 원을 활용해 올해 말까지 시제품 제작, 마케팅, 상품기획, 연구·개발 전략, 전문 인력 양성 등 맞춤형 기업 지원 사업을 시행하고, 내년 6월부터는 1년간 지역 중소기업의 정기 관세조사도 유예할 계획이다.
아울러 시는 추가로 고용위기 선제대응지역 지정을 추진 중이다. 고용노동부 승인이 이루어지면 고용유지 지원금, 직업능력개발 지원사업, 생활안정자금 융자 등 지원이 확대된다.
서산시는 대산임해지역 국가산업단지 지정, 고부가가치 산업 전환 연구개발 지원 등도 병행해 지역경제 구조 다변화를 모색한다는 방침이다.
박경환 경제산업국장은 “정부 지원을 기반으로 석유화학산업 경쟁력 강화와 인프라 정비를 추진하고, 장기적으로 지역경제의 지속가능한 성장 기반을 마련하겠다”고 말했다.
