세종시교육청이 1일 오전 청사 대강당에서 본청 및 직속기관 직원을 대상으로 ‘10월 소통·공감의 날’ 행사를 열고, 교육 현안 공유와 공직자 역량 강화를 위한 시간을 가졌다.
이번 행사는 천범산 교육감 권한대행의 당부 말씀과 명사 특강 순으로 진행됐다. 특강은 전 MBC 충북 아나운서이자 서원대학교 교수인 김보경 교수가 ‘전달력이 좋아지는 목소리 사용법’을 주제로 강연을 맡아, 공직자들이 대민 업무에서 신뢰감을 줄 수 있는 목소리 활용법과 효과적인 의사소통 방법을 전했다.
참석자들은 호흡과 발음, 어조에 따라 전달력이 달라짐을 직접 체험하며 평상시 말하기 습관을 점검하는 기회를 가졌다.
천범산 권한대행은 당부 말씀에서 최근 국가정보자원관리원 전산실 화재로 발생한 정부 행정망 마비 사태를 언급하며 “우리 교육청과 학교들 역시 큰 불편을 겪었다”며 “행정 시스템이 정상화될 때까지 자체 대응책을 적극 마련해 시민과 학교의 어려움을 최소화해야 한다”고 강조했다.
이어 “이번 사고는 전산뿐 아니라 모든 분야에서 안전관리와 재난 대응체계 점검의 중요성을 일깨운 사건”이라며 “보완이 필요한 부분이 있다면 충분히 계획을 세워 반영해야 한다”고 덧붙였다.
또한 국정감사를 앞두고는 “추진해 온 사업과 정책을 다시 점검하는 계기로 삼아야 한다”며 “감사 과정에서 나올 지적과 의견은 합리적으로 수용·반영해야 한다”고 당부했다.
이어 내년에 개원하는 평생교육원과 교육문화원과 관련해 “시민교육 강화와 AI 역량 제고라는 국가 과제와 맞닿아 있기에 지역사회와의 협력 속에 운영 계획을 세심히 준비해 달라”고 강조했다.
추석 명절을 앞두고는 소외된 아동들을 세심히 살피고, 학교 시설과 비상연락망 점검 등 안전 관리에 만전을 기할 것도 함께 당부하며 행사를 마무리했다.
세종시교육청은 이번 행사를 계기로 공직자들의 소통 역량 강화와 더불어 교육행정 신뢰도 제고를 이어간다는 방침이다.
