브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 대통령은 2일 코스피가 장중 3500선을 돌파하며 역대 최고치를 경신한 것과 관련해 “이 추세 자체는 그렇게 쉽게 바뀌지 않을 것 같다”고 2일 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 용산 대통령실에서 열린 제12차 수석·보좌관회의에서 “국민들이 다시 희망을 가지고 열정을 내고 있으며, 비정상들이 정상으로 많이 회복되고 있다. 그 힘이라고 생각한다”며 이같이 말했다.
이어 “공직자들이 잘 준비해 비정상으로 다시 돌아가지 않도록 하고, 제도·정책·행정에서 최선을 다한다면 지금보다 더 나아질 수 있을 것”이라며 “경제 회복의 온기가 국민 삶 곳곳에 스며들어 모두가 혜택을 볼 수 있도록 힘써야 한다”고 당부했다.
이 대통령은 추석 연휴와 관련해선 “내일부터 긴 연휴가 시작된다”며 “저도 샌드위치 데이(10월 10일)에는 연차를 내서 공직적으로는 쉴 생각”이라고 했다. 그러면서 “여러분들도 좀 쉬시라. 하지만 비상대기 업무는 당연히 해야 한다”고 덧붙여 회의장에서는 웃음이 나오기도 했다.
아울러 이 대통령은 “우리 안팎의 환경이 녹록지 않지만 국민들의 위대한 저력이 있기 때문에 충분히 극복할 수 있다고 본다”며 “어려운 시기이지만 오랜만에 가족들을 만나 즐겁고 행복한 추석이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
