도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 9일(현지시간) 이스라엘·팔레스타인 무장 정파 하마스 간 '가자 지구 종전 평화 구상' 1단계 합의 관련해 "하마스에 억류된 이스라엘 인질 20명 전원이 오는 13일이나 14일께 석방될 것"이라고 밝혔다.
미 'AP 통신'에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 이날 워싱톤 DC 백악관에서 열린 국무회의를 주재하며 "어젯밤 우리는 중동서 중대한 돌파구에 이르렀고, 많은 사람이 결코 이뤄질 수 없다 말했던 일이었다"며 이같이 말했다.
