파주문화재단은 오는 11월 1일 운정호수공원에서 ‘제7회 운정호수공원 불꽃축제’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

올해로 7회째를 맞는 불꽃축제는 2017년 주민 주도로 시작해 코로나19 시기를 제외하고 매년 이어져 온 파주의 대표 행사다.
이번 축제는 ‘희망의 빛(Light of Hope)’을 주제로 시민들에게 위로와 희망을 전하는 다양한 프로그램으로 꾸며진다.
행사는 오후 2시부터 시작된다.
소리천 야외무대 인근에서는 운정신도시연합회, 파주맘, 파주시청소년재단이 운영하는 체험나눔부스와 함께 지역예술인 공연, 버블쇼, 불쇼 등이 어우러진 ‘잔디 위의 아티스트’가 진행되며 이어 오후 7시 30분부터 개막식과 불꽃쇼가 열리며, 마지막은 불빛정원 점등으로 화려한 대미를 장식한다.
특히 올해 불꽃쇼는 25분간 대폭 강화돼 펼쳐진다.
발사포를 활용해 최대 200m 고도까지 치솟는 타상불꽃을 중심으로 구성해 멀리서도 선명하고 화려한 장관을 선사한다.
음악과 어우러진 연출은 관람객의 감정을 따라가는 드라마틱한 무대를 완성할 예정이다.
불빛정원은 축제 당일 점등 이후 2025년 11월 1일부터 2026년 1월 31일까지 매일 오후 5시부터 10시까지 운영된다.
겨울철 운정호수공원의 대표 야간 명소로 자리잡을 것으로 기대된다.
김영준 대표이사는 “올해 불꽃축제는 화려한 불꽃과 빛의 향연을 통해 시민 모두가 함께 희망을 나누는 장이 될 것”이라며 “많은 시민들의 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
