이날 회의에는 각 국장과 본부장, 부서장이 참석해 △행사장 인프라 정비 △숙박·교통·환경·안전 등 지원 대책 △시민참여 프로그램 추진 현황 등을 보고했다.
주낙영 시장은 “이제는 점검이 아니라 완성의 단계에 와 있다”며 “국가적 행사로서 경주의 품격이 세계 무대에 드러나는 만큼 마지막 순간까지 단 한 건의 허점도 없도록 하라”고 강조했다.

경제산업국은 오는 16~17일 APEC 회원국 및 경북투자 포럼을 열어 글로벌 기업과의 교류를 확대하고, 행정안전국은 행사장 일대 CCTV와 공공 와이파이 설치를 완료했다고 밝혔다.
