브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 테슬라 일부 모델에서 배터리 충전 제한 문제가 불거지며 중고차 가격이 하락하는 것으로 나타났다.
케이카(K Car)는 14일 최근 중고차 시장에서 테슬라 ‘모델3’와 ‘모델Y’의 평균 시세가 지난 8월부터 내림세를 보이고 있다고 밝혔다.
케이카에 따르면 모델3의 평균 시세는 7월 3847만 원에서 8월 3771만 원, 9월 3729만 원으로 전월 대비 각각 2.0%, 1.1% 하락했다. 모델Y 역시 같은 기간 4918만 원, 4825만 원, 4789만 원으로 1.9%, 0.7%씩 떨어졌다.
이 같은 시세 하락은 최근 테슬라 차량 일부에서 발생한 배터리 관리 시스템(BMS) 오류, 일명 ‘BMS_a079’ 코드 논란의 영향을 받은 것으로 분석된다. 해당 오류는 차량이 충전량을 제한하고 배터리 교체를 권유하는 경고를 띄우는 증상으로, 지난 8월부터 국내 소비자들 사이에서 잇따라 보고됐다.
특히 문제 발생 빈도가 높은 것으로 알려진 2021년식 차량의 약세가 두드러졌다. 모델3는 8월과 9월에 각각 2.8%, 1.2% 하락했으며, 모델Y는 같은 기간 3.1%, 2.8% 떨어졌다.
