【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단이 오는 25일 오후 5시 어울아트센터 함지홀에서 우수공연시리즈 '크로스 로즈: 신촌에서 달림을 만나다'를 연다.
한국 블루스의 전설 신촌블루스와 짙은 감성으로 사랑받는 보컬리스트 강허달림이 한 무대에서 만나는 특별한 공연이다. 세대를 아우르는 블루스의 깊은 울림을 선사할 예정이다.
신촌블루스는 1980년대 '그대 없는 거리', '골목길' 등 명곡으로 한국 블루스 음악 대중화를 이끈 밴드다. 1987년 데뷔 이후 40년 가까이 블루스의 본류를 지켜왔다.
이번 무대에는 원년 멤버이자 블루스 기타리스트 엄인호를 중심으로 현 소속 보컬리스트 제니스, 김상우, 강미희가 함께 출연한다. 대표곡과 깊이 있는 무대를 선보일 예정이다.
신촌블루스의 과거 객원보컬이자 현재는 자신만의 음악 세계를 구축한 강허달림도 함께한다.
강허달림은 2005년 싱글 앨범 '독백'으로 솔로 데뷔한 뒤 '기다림, 설레임', '넌 나의 바다', '러브' 등 감성 짙은 앨범을 발표하며 한국 여성 블루스의 계보를 잇고 있다. 지난해에는 자작곡 '바다라는 녀석'으로 제2회 음유시인문학상을 받으며 '현대의 음유시인'이라는 찬사를 받았다.
이번 무대는 신촌블루스를 통해 블루스의 전통을 되새기고, 강허달림의 감성으로 현대적인 해석을 더하는 세대와 장르가 교차하는 무대가 될 것이다.
박정숙 행복북구문화재단 대표이사는 "한국 블루스의 과거와 현재, 미래를 동시에 만나는 무대"라며 "선선한 가을밤을 따뜻하게 물들일 이 공연에 많은 시민들의 관심과 성원을 바란다"고 말했다.

This performance will feature original member and blues guitarist Eom In-ho, along with current vocalists Janice, Kim Sang-woo, and Kang Mi-hee. They are expected to present signature songs and a profound performance.
Kang Heo-dal-lim, a former guest vocalist with Sinchon Blues who has now established his own musical world, will also join the band.
Kang Heo-dal-lim debuted as a soloist in 2005 with the single "Monologue," and has since released other emotionally charged albums, including "Waiting, Thrill," "You Are My Sea," and "Love," continuing the legacy of Korean female blues. Last year, she won the 2nd Minstrel Literary Award for her self-composed song "The Sea," earning her the acclaim of a "modern-day minstrel."
This performance will be a cross-generational and genre-bending experience, revisiting the tradition of blues through Sinchon Blues and adding a contemporary interpretation through Kang Heo-dal-lim's sensibility.
Park Jeong-suk, CEO of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation, said, "This is a performance that simultaneously explores the past, present, and future of Korean blues. We hope for the interest and support of many citizens who will warmly embrace this breezy autumn night."
