【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청이 ‘온전한 교육복지119 지원사업’의 올해 상반기 추진 실적을 공개하고, 하반기 계획을 밝혔다.
이 사업은 생계 곤란, 질병, 학대, 재해 등 다양한 위기 상황에 놓인 학생들을 신속히 발굴해 맞춤형 복지와 심리·정서적 지원을 제공, 학업 지속과 학교 복귀를 돕는 긴급 교육복지 안전망 체계다.
학생 본인뿐 아니라 보호자, 교직원, 일반인 누구나 위기 학생을 발견하면 학교장 추천이나 경북교육청 홈페이지 내 ‘교육복지119 추천함’을 통해 신청할 수 있다. 선정된 학생은 긴급복지지원금을 받으며, 교육지원청·학교·지역사회가 연계해 지속적인 모니터링과 복지 지원을 이어간다.
올해 상반기에는 경북산불로 주택이 전소된 84가정(123명)에 가정당 100만 원씩, 총 8,400만 원의 긴급복지지원금이 지급됐다. 또한 질병, 보호자 사망·수감, 파산 등 개인 위기 상황에 놓인 50가정 77명에게는 가정당 70만~150만 원씩 총 4,740만 원을 지원했다.
긴급복지수혜 학생들에게는 교육지원청과 학교, 지역사회가 협력해 사례관리자를 지정하고, 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하며 학업 복귀를 지원하고 있다.
경북교육청은 하반기에도 도내 초·중·고등학교를 대상으로 사업 안내와 홍보를 강화하고, 위기 학생을 빠르게 발굴해 교육회복을 돕는 데 주력할 계획이다. 또한 학교 현장 중심의 대응 체계와 지역 협력망 확충에도 힘쓴다.
임종식 교육감은 “예상치 못한 위기 상황에 처한 학생들에게 개별 여건에 맞춘 맞춤형 긴급복지서비스를 통해 든든하게 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
