전북 익산시는 국가유산청 국립문화유산연구원과 2026년 2월 8일까지 세계유산인 미륵사지 현장에서 실감형 체험 콘텐츠인 '미륵사 디지털 복원 체험 안내센터'를 운영한다고 17일 밝혔다.
증강현실 속 미륵사를 배경으로 사진을 촬영해 전자우편으로 전송할 수 있고 사계절 배경을 적용해 보는 등 미륵사의 다채로운 매력을 한자리에서 체험할 수 있다.
참가자들은 '태블릿 컴퓨터(PC)'와 안경처럼 눈에 착용하는 '스마트 글라스'로 미륵사 중문의 디지털 복원 과정을 담은 만화 영화(애니메이션)를 시청한다.
