도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 다음 달 아시아 순방에 앞서 김정은 북한 국무위원장과의 회동을 비공식 검토해왔으나 현재로서 가능성은 낮은 것으로 18일(현지시간) 알려졌다.
이날 미 'CNN' 영국 '로이터 통신' 등에 따르면 미 정부가 오는 11월 예정된 트럼프 대통령의 아시아 순방 때 김 위원장과의 만남을 비공개 논의해 왔으나 지난 트럼프 1기 당시 같은 구체적 실무 접촉 및 소통은 이뤄지지 않은 것으로 전해졌다.
