남동구, ‘소래의 밤을 빛으로 그리다’ 소래 빛의 거리 조성

(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 21일, 최근 ‘소래 빛의 거리’ 신규 조성을 기념해 점등식과 버스킹 등 문화 공연을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면, ‘소래 빛의 거리’는 논현동 678-6부터 680-2까지 약 250m 구간에 조성된 야간 경관 거리로, ‘소래의 바다’를 모티브로 지역의 활력을 빛으로 표현했다.

올해 남동구의 대표 관광지인 소래포구를 중심으로 야간 관광 활성화와 지역 상권 회복을 위해 새로 조성됐다.

이번 행사는 아름다운 조명이 거리를 환하게 밝히는 점등식에 이어 재즈 가수와 밴드의 공연이 어우러진 특별한 무대가 마련됐다. 

박종효 남동구청장은 “관광객들에게는 ‘밤이 아름다운 도시’ 남동구로 기억되고, 주민들에게는 피로를 녹이는 휴식과 힐링의 공간이 되길 바란다”라며 “이번 소래 빛의 거리 조성을 계기로 소래포구가 낮에는 전통시장, 밤에는 빛의 명소로 거듭나 지역경제와 주민들의 일상이 더욱 활기를 띠길 기대한다”라고 말했다.

한편, 남동구는 ‘소래 빛의 거리’를 시작으로 남촌도림동과 만수천 등 총 5곳에 빛의 거리를 새롭게 조성하거나 재단장할 예정이며, 이를 기념하는 문화 공연도 함께 열 계획이다.
