[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 농업기술센터가 수입 화훼 증가로 어려움을 겪는 지역 농가를 돕고, 건전한 화훼 문화 확산을 위해 추진한 학교 4-H 대상 '플라워클래스 교육'을 성공적으로 마무리했다고 22일 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 지난 7월부터 10월까지 4개월간 창원대산고등학교 등 관내 9개 학교, 총 552명의 학생을 대상으로 18회에 걸쳐 진행됐다. 특히, 수업에는 창원 관내에서 생산된 신선한 생화만을 활용해 센터피스 꽃바구니와 화훼 미니 리스 만들기 등의 실습으로 이루어져 지역 화훼 소비 촉진이라는 사업의 취지를 살렸다.
이번 교육의 성공에는 창원특례시꽃집연합회의 적극적인 재능기부 참여가 큰 힘이 되었다. 전문 플로리스트들이 직접 학생들을 지도하며 꽃을 통한 정서적 치유와 여가 활동의 즐거움을 전달했다.
