[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도는 22일 오후 호텔 인터내셔널 창원에서 경남지방중소벤처기업청, BNK경남은행, 경남신문과 공동으로 ‘제29회 경남중소기업대상 시상식’ 및 ‘제2회 경남 모범장수기업 인증패 수여식’을 성황리에 개최했다.
이번 행사는 지역 경제 발전의 주역인 중소기업과 오랜 기간 헌신해 온 장기 재직자들의 노고를 격려하고 그 성과를 치하하기 위해 마련되었다.
1996년부터 이어져 온 ‘경남중소기업대상’은 기술·경영 혁신, 고용·수출 확대, 노사 동반 성장 등 지역 경제에 기여한 공로를 인정하는 경남 최고의 중소기업 시상이다. 지난해까지 총 202개 기업과 131명의 재직자가 수상의 영예를 안았으며, 올해는 6개 부문 9개 혁신 기업과 우수 장기 재직자 10명이 수상의 영예를 안았다.

올해의 모범장수기업으로는 엘케이삼양(주), ㈜영케미칼, 피케이밸브앤엔지니어링(주) 등 3개 사가 선정되었으며, 이날 인증패를 수여받았다.
수상 기업과 모범 장수기업에는 중소기업육성자금 이차보전 금리 우대, 국내외 마케팅 사업 우대, 지방세 세무조사 3년간 면제 등 다양한 행정·재정적 인센티브가 제공되어 이들의 지속적인 성장과 지역경제 기여를 뒷받침할 예정이다. 경남도는 앞으로도 지역 경제를 이끄는 혁신 기업과 장수 기업에 대한 지원을 확대해 나갈 방침이다.
손한국 경남지방중소벤처기업청장은 “인공지능(AI) 등 산업 패러다임 전환에도 혁신을 통해 지역경제를 이끌어 온 기업인들의 헌신에 감사드린다”며 “도내 중소기업들이 미래에도 지역과 상생할 수 있도록 현장의 목소리를 반영하고, 경상남도와 유관기관과의 협력을 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
박완수 도지사는 시상식에서 “국내외 어려운 경영환경 속에서도 경남이 3년 연속 무역수지 흑자를 기록하고, 역대 최고치의 고용률을 달성한 것은 경남 경제의 주체인 중소기업 덕분”이라며, “기업이 잘 돼야 도민의 행복지수가 높아지는 만큼, 현장의 애로를 청취하고 지원을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
