세종시가 세종시로 이전하거나 입주한 기업 종사자의 주거 안정을 지원하기 위해 ‘입주기업 종사자 주택특별공급’을 시행한다고 23일 밝혔다.
이번 정책은 기업 이전 및 정착 과정에서 근로자들의 주거 문제를 완화하고, 직주근접형 도시구조를 실현하기 위한 세종시의 대표적인 정주 여건 개선사업 중 하나로, 지난 2018년 제도 시행 이후 세종시는 근로자 주거복지 확충과 기업 정착 촉진을 위해 지속적으로 특별공급을 이어오고 있다.
대상은 세종시 기업에 근무하면서 대전·세종·충남 지역에 거주하는 무주택 근로자이며, 2018년 12월 7일 이후 준공 또는 임대계약을 체결한 입주기업이 해당된다.
올해 특별공급이 이루어지는 공동주택은 5-1생활권 합강동 L9블록으로, 계룡건설㈜과 원건설사업㈜이 시공하는 총 424세대 중 8세대가 입주기업 종사자에게 배정된다.
김현기 세종시 경제산업국장은 “입주기업 종사자 주택특별공급은 근로자의 안정적인 주거를 보장해 기업유치 정책의 실효성을 높이는 제도”라며 “근로자와 기업이 함께 정착할 수 있는 친환경 자족도시 세종 조성을 위해 지속적으로 정책적 지원을 강화하겠다”고 말했다.
