더불어민주당 세종시당은 지난 24일 제9차 운영위원회를 열고, 2026년 제9회 전국동시지방선거 승리를 위한 본격적인 선거 준비 체제 구축에 돌입했다.
세종시당에 따르면 이날 회의에서는 ‘세종시당 지방선거기획단’ 구성 ,‘읍면동 조직혁신특별위원회’ 구성 등 지방선거를 앞둔 핵심 안건들이 심도 있게 논의·의결됐다.
먼저 이번에 구성된 ‘세종시당 지방선거기획단’ 은 제9회 전국동시지방선거 승리를 위해 공천제도 확정과 동시에 신속하게 선거 체제를 정비하고, 전략적 선거 준비를 강화하기 위한 조직이다.
기획단은 지역위원회 등 공조직을 중심으로 구성되며, 공직선거 출마자는 구성에서 배제해 공정성과 객관성을 확보했다.
총 13인으로 구성된 기획단은 여성 30%(4명), 청년 10%(1명) 이상을 포함했으며, 여성이자 청년인 인물도 포함해 당내 다양성과 대표성을 반영했다.
세종시당은 기획단을 중심으로 선거조직 재정비 ,후보군 발굴 ,정책 개발 및 홍보 전략 수립 등을 단계적으로 추진해 나갈 계획이다.
이날 함께 의결된 ‘읍면동 조직혁신특별위원회’는 당의 가장 기초 지역조직인 읍면동 협의회를 중심으로 구성됐다.

이번 회의에서 의결된 ‘지방선거기획단’과 ‘읍면동 조직혁신특별위원회’ 구성(안)은 중앙당 보고 및 의결 절차를 거쳐 확정될 예정이다.
이후에도 세종시당은 지방선거 체제 정비를 위한 사전 준비와 현장 중심의 조직 강화 활동을 지속해 나갈 방침이다.
강준현 위원장은 이날 회의에서 “2026년 지방선거는 세종시의 미래를 결정짓는 중요한 전환점이 될 것이다.
세종시당은 이번 운영위를 기점으로 조직 혁신과 선거 준비에 박차를 가하겠다”며, “특히 공정하고 투명한 공천, 현장 중심의 민생 정치, 당원 중심의 조직 운영을 통해 시민이 신뢰하는 세종시당을 만들어가겠다”고 강조했다.
