전북 군산해양경찰서는 오는 29일까지 실전 상황을 가정한 하반기 2차 해상 종합훈련을 실시한다.
서해해양경찰청 주관으로 진행되는 이번 훈련은 각종 해양 사고와 치안 상황에 대비하기 위해 매년 상ㆍ하반기로 나눠 보유한 모든 경비함정을 대상으로 진행해 매년 최우수 경비함정을 선발하고 있다.
이번 훈련에 군산해경은 경비함정 11척과 경찰관 약 240명이 참여한다.
특히 ▲ 치안과 관련한 검문 단속 ▲ 사고에 대비한 화재진화 ▲ 방수 훈련까지 총 13종목이 실시된다.
각 훈련에 서해해경청 소속 교관이 훈련 과정을 참관하고 미진한 분야에 대한 교육 후 환류ㆍ토론 과정을 거쳐 최종 평가한다.
이번 훈련부터는 함정에서 운용 중인 각 장비 정비 상태와 3년 미만 신입 경찰관들의 운용 능력 테스트가 포함됐으며 현장 지휘관 판단 역량 강화 훈련도 실시된다.
군산해경 오 훈 서장은 "최근까지 팀워크 훈련을 통해 기초체력과 협업 능력 강화에 주력했다"며 "이번 훈련은 보다 각종 상황에 맞춘 직무 전문성 강화에 역량을 둘 방침"이라고 밝혔다.
