(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 28일 구청에서 명예사회복지공무원 표창 수여식 및 역량 강화 교육을 개최했다고 밝혔다.
부평구에 따르면, 명예사회복지공무원은 지역 내 도움이 필요한 위기가구를 발굴·지원하는 활동에 자발적으로 참여하는 무보수·명예직 지역주민으로 이뤄져 있다.
이번 행사는 지역 내 인적안전망 강화를 위해 헌신한 명예사회복지공무원을 격려하고, 복지 현장에서의 활동 역량을 강화하고자 마련됐다.
이날 명예사회복지공무원 22명이 위기가구 발굴 및 취약계층 지원, 고독사 예방 등 지역의 복지안전망 강화를 위해 헌신적으로 활동해 온 점을 인정받아 표창을 받았다.
표창 수여에 이어 구가 3년에 걸쳐 추진한 ‘사회적 고립가구 지원 및 대응체계 구축 사업’의 성과 공유도 이뤄졌다.
중장년 1인 가구 전수조사 결과, 고독사 위험군 발굴 및 지원 현황, 우수사례 발표 순으로 진행됐으며, 민관이 협력하는 복지안전망 활성화 방안도 논의됐다.
또, 유품정리 전문 강사로 활동하는 김새별 바이오해저드 대표가 ‘유품이 들려주는 고독사 이야기와 예방의 길’을 주제로 역량 강화 교육을 진행했다.
김 대표는 유품정리 현장에서 마주한 고독사의 현실을 생생히 전하며, 일상 속 징후를 발견하고 대응하는 명예사회복지공무원의 역할의 중요성을 강조했다.
